About The Kyle Andrews Foundation
It all began with a young boy, Kyle Andrews, and his dream for other children to experience the healing and happiness he felt coming home to Broome when he was not receiving treatment for leukaemia in Perth, WA.
He wanted to share his hometown with the friends he had made in hospital so that they might experience the happiness and healing he found in Broome.
‘So they might feel better’ is the essence of The Kyle Andrews Foundation.
Our charitable foundation, run by volunteers, continues Kyle’s legacy and his wish to create happiness and joy, to support children and their families by making their lives a little more memorable and fun during difficult times.
We achieve this by providing experiences, support, respite homes and accommodation.
The Foundation relies on donations and funds raised through our events to be able to continue to deliver our services. Proudly, nearly 100 per cent of the funds raised and donated go towards supporting children with cancer and their families along with Northwest families who need accommodation in Perth whilst undergoing treatment.
Kyle’s Camp
The Kyle Andrews Foundation with the support of their sponsors and the generosity of the local community, annually provide the holiday of a life-time in Broome for approximately 15 – 20 children from Perth Children’s Hospital undergoing treatment, with a much-needed, week long break from difficult treatments and therapy.
