What KAF do & how we do it
The Kyle Andrews Foundation Inc provides support to families with children undergoing treatment for cancer, suffering an ongoing medical condition or families that may have had a recent bereavement.
Donated & raised funds provide an annual Kimberley camp and two self contained houses for sick children and their families in Western Australia.
The organisation is a charitable foundation raising funds to bring Children undergoing treatment for cancer from Princess Margaret Hospital, in Perth WA.
The camp brings approximately 15 children with 4 hospital carers sick children to Broome on an annual basis, for a much needed break from difficult therapy.
The children are given the opportunity to undertake an array of Broome activities with other Children in similar health circumstance, and be kids again.
The Kyle Andrews Foundation Inc provides two properties to support families in need with comfortable, affordable and well located accommodation. Kyle’s cottage is located in Broome, setup for families needing quality rest time and The Gibb Retreat is located in Perth, setup for North West families needing a place to stay while children undergo treatments.
Kyle’s Cottage was built & furnished by local businesses who donated their time, money & goods.
Kyle’s Cottage in Broome, is a large, modern, fully furnished and tastefully decorated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, open plan living residence with disabled facilities and a swimming pool. The Cottage is fully self-contained; all you need to bring is your personal clothing and toiletries and provide your own food on arrival.
The Gibb Retreat was purchased with funds from the 2015 10th Anniversary ‘Gibb Challenge Bike Ride’.
The Gibb Retreat is a fully self contained unit located close to Perth hospitals and local transport. The unit comprises of 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms (1 with disabled facilities) and fully equipped. The complex has a pool, gymnasium and secure undercover parking. Perfect for North West families in need of a place to stay.
